In hydroponics the best PH range for maximum nutrient absorption is between 5.8 and 6.2 for aquaponics the PH is slightly higher as acidic condition can lead to fungal infections of your fish  6.5 to 7 is recommended by the hydro world to keep your fish and plants in tip top condition
